Orlando City midfielder Cristian Higuita has been named to the Colombian national team's preliminary 40-man roster for the upcoming 2016 Copa America Centenario.
Higuita is the only MLS player included among the names released to various Spanish news outlets Wednesday by Colombia coach José Pékerman.
Colombia kicks off the tournament against the United States on June 3 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The country then continues play in Group A against Paraguay on June 7 in Pasadena and against Costa Rica in Houston July 11.
Higuita, 22, has become one of Orlando City's most formidable players at defensive midfield.
