Orlando City officials confirmed Monday the club will not appeal a red card given to midfielder Victor “PC” Giro in the 41st minute of the Lions’ 1-1 draw against D.C. United.
PC was sent off for “violent conduct,” according to officials. He battled D.C. United’s Yamil Asad for a ball and his arm made contact with Asad’s head.
PC was initially shown a yellow card, but then was given a red after Video Assistant Referee review. It was the second instance of a VAR review going against Orlando City.
“A really odd situation where I think my player is fouled first,” Kreis said after the match.
