Orlando City has traded midfielder Kevin Molino to expansion side Minnesota United FC in one of the biggest deals in MLS history.
Orlando City sent Molino and recently-acquired goalkeeper Patrick McLain to Minnesota for a total of $650,000, which included $450,000 in General Allocation Money a $200,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, the Orlando Sentinel confirmed with the club.
Reports that Orlando City turned down a massive offer from Minnesota, led by former Lions coach Adrian Heath, for Molino began circulating earlier this month. Orlando City general manager Niki Budalic said at the time the club was not interested in trading Molino.
