Long after most of his Orlando City teammates exited the training field, Cyle Larin remained seated on bleachers under a large tree, waiting.
When a coach bus pulled up outside the fence at Sylvan Lake Park, he cracked a smile.
UConn men's soccer coach Ray Reid was the first through the gate. He clapped Larin on the back and chatted with him as others walked in, surrounding the Orlando City striker with bright smiles.
"This is why I waited so long," Larin said. "It's nice. I've known a lot of them for a long time, when I was there and some of them before I was there.
