Orlando City added winger Silvester van der Water to the Lions’ roster ahead of the 2021 season, acquiring the 24-year-old through a transfer with Heracles Almelo of top league in the Netherlands.
Van der Water will join the Lions for a long-term deal — a three-year contract with an additional one-year option. He will join the team upon receiving a P-1 Visa and international transfer certificate. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The forward brings six years of experience playing against the top competition in the Netherlands. He began his career with Almere City FC at the age of 19, scoring 18 goals during two years before earning a transfer to the top flight with Heracles Almelo in 2018.
