Orlando City signed academy product David Loera to a homegrown contract, adding another player to the midfield for the Lions.
Loera recently finished his third season with NC State, where he rose to become a vaulted attacking midfielder ranked No. 13 on Top Drawer Soccer’s Men’s National Top-100 list. The 21-year-old scored five goals and added three assists in his junior season, earning All-ACC honors for his third-straight year. He has been named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and called up to the United States U-19 squad.
In 2016, Loera was called up to the United States U-19 Men’s National Team.
