Orlando City made a move today during the Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft and signed former New England Revolution defender Kevin Alston with the seventh pick. The only other player selected in Stage 2 was ex-Houston Dynamo Jermaine Taylor by the MLS champion Portland Timbers.
Alston has spent his whole professional career with the Revs, appearing in 148 matches. The 5-foot-8 fullback is a product of Indiana University's tradition of excellent college soccer.
The No. 10 overall selection in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, Alston was selected to the MLS All-Star Game during the 2010 season.
