Orlando City returned to the training field Monday after a week off.
The Lions gradually will ramp up the intensity of their workouts throughout the week in preparation for their first U.S. Open Cup match at the Jacksonville Armada of the North American Soccer League at 7 p.m June 15.
“It'll be an important game for them,” Orlando City coach Adrian Heath said of the Armada. “They've had a disappointing spring campaign, but, as always, when you get an opportunity to play against a MLS team – as I said when we played in preseason, we were that team for four or five years, and I know how important it is for players who want to get to the MLS.
