Firepower shouldn’t be a problem to Orlando City SC as the team enters the 2018 season as the Lions reportedly agreed on a trade with Columbus Crew SC that will bring 29-year-old winger Justin Meram to Central Florida.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Carlisle and Paul Tenorio, Orlando City sent $1.05 million in allocation money plus an international roster spot to the Ohio franchise in exchange for Meram. The report breaks it down as $750,000 in Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and $300,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM).
Meram's signing could be one of the reasons for Orlando City CEO Alex Leitao's tweets last night.
