Orlando City has made another roster move ahead of the 2016 season, this time clearing space on the squad for another international player.
The Lions have released defensive midfielder Estrela, a source with knowledge of the move said. The former Benfica player never made an MLS appearance and dropped further down the depth chart this year.
Estrela's departure had largely been snuffed out by fans via social media clues on Friday night. The team is expected to confirm the move on Saturday.
Estrela, known by fans for his loud hairstyle, joined Orlando City in 2014 at the same time as former Benfica teammate Rafael Ramos when the team was still in the USL.
