Orlando City reaches agreement with Pierre da Silva

Midfielder Pierre Da Silva has become the first player to rise through all three ranks of the Orlando City Soccer Club system.

The Lions signed the 18 year old to a Major League Soccer contract Friday, making him the youngest player on the team. Da Silva previously played for Orlando City’s Pro Academy before signing with OCB last year in the United Soccer League.

“I’m proud of everyone in the Club who has helped Pierre get to where he is today,” Orlando City CEO Alex Leitão said. “Pierre’s addition is a testament to the quality, competitiveness and benefits of playing with OCB and the clear path we have laid out for Academy players to reach the MLS level.
