Orlando City has re-signed 2016 roster members Servando Carrasco, Kevin Alston and Seb Hines.
Alston rejoins the Lions after exploring free agency, while Carrasco and Hines renegotiated contracts after their options were declined at the end of the season.
The return of Hines may surprise some as he struggled with injuries and on-field performance at centerback last season. He spoke about the artificial turf aggravating his already injury-prone knees (something that should improve with Orlando City’s new grass-turf stadium), and notably made a back-pass error that led to a D.C. United goal in the final match of the season.
