Orlando City’s preseason won’t begin with a Cancún bootcamp like last year, but team building will still happen closer to home.
IMG Academy in Bradenton will host the Lions for an eight-day camp coach Oscar Pareja said will allow the team to jell and begin to build on its 2020 success. The week will conclude with a preseason match against the Philadelphia Union.
A bulk of the team participated in voluntary training this week, while remaining players completed quarantines ahead of the March 8 mandatory training start date.
New additions Pato and Silvester van der Water have yet to report to market, but Pareja said the attacking duo will join the Lions within the next week.
