New Orlando City signee Alexander Alvarado has been clear to play for the Lions, but it’s unlikely he will make his debut against Inter Miami Saturday.
The club signed the 21-year-old Ecuadorian winger on Oct. 13. Unlike fellow new arrival Matheus Aiás, the Lions were able to expedite Alvarado’s approval by MLS after completing coronavirus prevention protocols, making him available less than two weeks after he signed with the club.
Alvarado cleared his mandatory 10-day quarantine and began training with teammates earlier this week. After receiving his visa this week, Alvarado cleared the last hurdle to compete in matches.
