An Orlando City soccer player was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Osceola County earlier this week, according to the county sheriff’s office.
Jonathan Suárez-Cortés was booked into Osceola County Jail without bond Tuesday night on a charge of sexual battery, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
Suárez-Cortés, 24, is a defender for Orlando City. He is listed on the team roster as Jonathan Suárez and was acquired him on loan from Querétaro FC earlier this month, ahead of the 2021 season. Orlando City SC officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the arrest Tuesday night.
