Orlando City midfielder Antonio Nocerino rattled by storm, driven to finish strong

A purple banner lay strewn across the ground, torn from the fence it typically covers to provide privacy during Orlando City's training sessions at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford.

It was the only visible damage from Hurricane Matthew. Without it, the Lions could be seen from the adjacent parking lot, running drills under a clear, blue sky Saturday morning. The club originally canceled its training sessions this weekend, but after the storm passed with little threat to the Orlando area, the Lions decided to get back to work.

Many players from Florida or other areas of the United States had experienced hurricanes before, but Matthew brought fear and panic to others.
