Coming into Orlando City’s second season, aspirations were high. After barely missing the playoffs in their inaugural season last year, the Lions have their sights set making it into the tournament this season while competing for the Supporters Shield. One of the things that hurt last year was Orlando City’s slow start. With over 20 new players it took some time for players and coaches to find their rhythm. The 2016 season, however, has been a different story.
With team leader and captain Kaká out for three games, Orlando City made strong impressions against considerable teams, earning five points from a 1-0-2 start.
