An unexpected player joined Orlando City B’s training sessions this week: Bryan Róchez.
Róchez, a Honduran striker and young designated player, was among three members of the club’s Major League Soccer roster not incorporated in the team during preseason. The others were Spanish centerback David Mateos, 29, and Devron Garcia, a 21-year-old midfielder and defender also from Honduras.
Orlando City bought out Mateos’ contract last week, and Lions head coach Jason Kreis gave an update on Garcia’s status on Friday.
“Devron has been moved, I believe, to a club in Honduras,” Kreis said.
