Major League Soccer approved the Lions' safety plan, allowing them to hold their first full team training session since the coronavirus pandemic shut down the league on March 12.
"We waited for a long time for this moment, so we are happy," Orlando City midfielder Junior Urso said after the team workout at its training facility in Kissimmee.
The Lions are preparing for one of the tougher draws in the "MLS is Back" Tournament that kicks off next month at ESPN Wide World of Sports on Disney World property. Orlando City will face Inter Miami in the first match of the tournament on July 8, showcasing two Florida teams and budding rivals.
