Orlando City goalkeeper coach Stewart Kerr has accepted a position with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The club expects to fill his spot by the end of January and is in final talks with "a handful of individuals," according to general manager Niki Budalic.
“Stewart approached us and expressed his intentions to move closer to his family in Canada," Budalic said in a statement released Thursday by the club. "He has been an important part of our technical staff, but we respect and understand his decision to put his family first."
Kerr spent three season with Toronto FC, where he coached Lions goalkeeper Joe Bendik, before joining Orlando City for the 20126 season.
