Orlando City defender Seb Hines underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will be out about six weeks, the club announced Monday.
“Seb’s surgery went very smoothly and with no complications," said Dr. Daryl C. Osbahr, chief of sports medicine at Orlando Health and Orlando City’s team doctor. “We expect his recovery to go well and to have him back on the field as soon as possible.”
The need for surgery was not triggered by a new injury, a club spokesman told the Orlando Sentinel. Hines has long had knee issues. The most recent procedure was his fourth knee surgery.
