Orlando City cracks down on discipline to avoid yellow, red cards problems

Disciplinary issues can be costly, just ask the U.S. under-23 men's national soccer team.

The United States isn't going to the Olympics for the second year in a row after losing 2-1 to Colombia Tuesday night, and it's largely because two players were ejected from the game due to red cards, forcing the U.S. to play nine versus 11.

Orlando City knows how it feels. Lions defender Rafael Ramos and midfielder Adrian Winter both were ejected during a blowout 5-0 loss to Toronto FC last season, a low point in a season filled with disciplinary setbacks.
