Orlando City’s Kevin Alston is almost half way through his first season with the club and while he hasn’t blown fans away just yet, he has proven to be an extremely valuable asset to the Lion’s back line.
He’s made four appearances so far, playing 327 minutes at right back. In those appearances, the former New England Revolution player has recorded six clearances, two blocks, six interceptions and eleven defensive recoveries.
With starting right back Rafael Ramos recovering from a hamstring injury, it’s invaluable to know that the team can count on someone with Alston’s experience to step in and do a solid job.
