A difficult beginning to the week for Orlando City got worse when its star striker, Cyle Larin, was arrested on a DUI charge Thursday morning.
Lions coach Jason Kreis and team captain Kaká spoke out on the incident for the first time after training Friday, and the message was clear: They do not support Larin’s decision but will support him as he deals with the repercussions.
“Having to wake up to that phone call was difficult,” Kreis said. “Cyle is obviously distraught. Very, very disappointed in himself and his decision, but is wanting to move forward as quickly as possible.
