Orlando City forward Pedro Ribeiro successfully underwent back surgery last week and will spend the bulk of the season recovering.
“His surgery went well,” Orlando City coach Adrian Heath said Monday. “We're looking at four months here before he can maybe get back on the field. That's an area you have to be really careful with, where you've got the discs back there and pinched nerves, etc., and he's a big ol' guy, big unit to carry all that around.”
Heath hopes to have Ribeiro back on the field for the last five or six weeks of the season, he said.
