SANFORD, Fla. — Orlando City centerback Robin Jansson – a late addition to the Lions’ 2019 roster overhaul – has started every match he’s been available for since arriving in Orlando.
He missed the team’s 3-1 loss to the Montreal Impact while waiting for his visa paperwork to get finalized, but since that process wrapped up before Orlando City’s 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls, he hasn’t been subbed off.
The Lions (3-3-2, 11 points) have won three of the five matches Jansson has played in and kept two clean sheets over that span. There are still defensive issues the Lions need to clean up, but Jansson said the team’s confidence is high after keeping ta clean sheet against the Vancouver Whitecaps in its last match.
