On June 20, 16-year-old Pedro Mazzei got up on stage in front of a large group of peers and was baptized.
It was an emotional day, he said, made even more special because Kaká was among those watching.
"It was a honor to have him there at my baptism," said Mazzei, who was born in Brazil like the Orlando City captain. "It's something that you can't express. He's one of my idols and him being there, I don't know, you can't explain it."
Two months before that day, Mazzei was busy being a typical teen, playing soccer for his club, Florida Rush, and not attending his church's youth group.
