Orlando City captain Kaká went through full training Monday and appears to be on track to play when the Lions host the New York Red Bulls Friday.
The Brazilian star has missed the past two games due to a groin injury and the club has been careful not to rush him back into the lineup.
“He was really close for the weekend and he trained all weekend,” Lions coach Adrian Heath said Kaká Monday. “He’s been out with the group this morning and barring any incidents overnight where he feels a bit stiff and tight in the morning, he’ll just progress his work up to the game on Friday.
