After Thursday’s result for Orlando City B, the coaches and players took time to reflect on the season that was. There were vast improvements from the USL side from their inaugural season to their second year, specifically those that remained on the roster through both seasons.
One player specifically who saw some of the most improvement was fullback Zach Ellis-Hayden. The Canadian started 19 matches for OCB in 2017, playing in a total of 24. Defensively, he was a lock down fullback. Playing both left and right sides, Ellis-Hayden used his speed and strength to shut down oppositions attacks and vastly improved his ability to read the game defensively.
