Orlando City B (2-4-1, 7 points) claimed their first home win of the season last night, a 1-0 victory over the struggling FC Montreal (0-5-0, 0 points). The team showed great resolve to keep a clean sheet, despite defender Devron Garcia being sent off in just the 18th minute.
The only goal of the game came in just the 9th minute. The move started when Bryan Rochez picked up a long ball from the defense about 35 yards out, Rochez went on a penetrating run and laid the ball off perfectly to Tyler Turner. Turner’s cross over shot Michael Cox in the middle of the box, but Lewis Neal was waiting at the far post to nod the ball back across the face of goal where Cox was waiting to head in for his second goal of the season.
