A roster makeover is expected for Orlando City's MLS squad, which is entering the offseason after falling short of the playoffs and with a new coach at the helm.
But Orlando City B, the club’s USL affiliate, made the playoffs in its inaugural season, retained its coaching staff and announced Wednesday a complete demolition of its roster – re-signing only five players.
Team captain Lewis Neal, young talent Pierre Da Silva and leading scorer Michael Cox will return in 2017 on existing contracts. Defender Zach Ellis-Hayden and goalkeeper Jake Fenlason, who served as backup to starter Mark Ridgers this year, signed new contracts with OCB, pending federation approval.
