New Orlando City assistant general manager Niki Budalic barely had a chance to find his desk, let alone settle in and think about the job at hand, when he arrived at Lions practice on Tuesday morning.
Budalic had only landed in Orlando that morning, but the things that made him an attractive hire for Orlando City president Phil Rawlins – his vision and eye for talent – were evident in the 37-year-old Canadian’s ideas for how the club could continue to move forward.
“I just want to get my feet wet and get a handle on things here,” Budalic said.
