ORLANDO, Fla. (June 18, 2016) – In its first Major League Soccer (MLS) game in almost three weeks, Orlando City SC (3-3-8, 17 points) drew the San Jose Earthquakes (5-4-6, 21 points) by a final score of 2-2. Seb Hines and Júlio Baptista scored their second goals of the season in front of the Lions’ biggest crowd since Opening Day. The draw extends Orlando City’s home unbeaten to 14 games, the longest active streak in MLS.
“[The players] worked really, really hard. They never gave in, kept pushing. For me, it’s been probably the most emotional evening I’ve had in football,” Lions Head Coach Adrian Heath said.
