Crankfield is projected to step into a bigger role for the Hornets at wide receiver, running back and cornerback as well as on special teams as a returner. He enters his third year with the program as one of 13 returning starters on a team that lost in the first round of the FHSAA Class 5A playoffs each of the past two years.
“Staying on the field shows how much the coaches believe in me,” said Crankfield. “But it’s not about any one player.
