Florida high school football programs were supposed to huddle up under sunny skies for the first day of spring practices Monday afternoon.
Instead, many coaches and players in the Orlando area will log onto online platforms from home for team sessions that will look and feel far different from what they did in years past.
“We’re going to treat Monday like it would be our first day of spring and basically try our best to do spring football virtually,” Bishop Moore coach Matt Hedrick said.
That means each day through May 22, when the Hornets were scheduled to play Boone and Wekiva in an exhibition jamboree, schemes will be installed, position meetings held and conversation had regarding goals for the fall season.
