Buzz: Windermere Prep lost a heartbreaker, with Holy Names (19-5) scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh to win the 3A state title. The Lakers (25-2) scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh on a run-scoring single from Piper Hofmann with 2 outs. Mia Williams and Meredith Workman scored runs in the first inning. Hofmann had 3 hits for Windermere Prep while Williams, Ariana Lara, Zoe Pistel and Workman each had 2 hits in the loss. Annabelle Sardja had 3 hits and 3 RBI for Holy Names.
