The Florida High School Athletic Association football classification and district landscape this fall involving Orlando area teams is outlined below.
Four district champions and four other at-large teams, based on FHSAA power rankings, will qualify for one of four regional tournament playoff brackets within each of the top four classifications: 8A, 7A, 6A and 5A. FHSAA power rankings will be used to determine and seed six playoff qualifiers per region in Class 4A, 3A and 2A.
Student enrollment numbers per classification are as follows: 8A (2,356 students and above), 7A (2,355-1,924), 6A (1,923-1,582), 5A (1,581-1,137), 4A (1,136-740), 3A (739-361), 2A (360 and below).
