Kissimmee Osceola scored six runs in the final inning of a baseball playoff game Friday to extend its season in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 7A regional tournament.
The Kowboys rallied from three runs down to derail host Dr. Phillips 8-5 in the quarterfinal round after Blake Birchler drove in a pair of runs to tie the game in the top of the seventh with a hit to left field. The Panthers, who led 5-2 going into the final frame, entered regional play at No. 5 in the area Sentinel Super Six rankings.
Among those is Orangewood Christian’s baseball team, which had eight players log a hit during a 7-2 quarterfinal win against Real Life Christian.
