Orange City University football coach Brian Kells tucked the game ball under his left arm and made the rounds Friday night after wrapping up a historic start to the 2020 season.
The Titans (1-0), ranked No. 16 in the Sentinel Super 16, were dominant during a 41-7 win against Winter Springs (0-1) while claiming the program’s first-ever win at its on-campus stadium.
University had played its football games on the road since the school opened in 2010 and was relegated to using nearby Deltona High and Deltona Pine Ridge for Senior Night and homecoming outings.
Last fall, after funding was approved to install stadium lights at an existing field in 2018, the Titans were able to host two games.
