Pro Soccer USA’s Glenn Crooks spoke with Sean Johnson and Keaton Parks at New York City FC’s media day in the West Village at the Adidas New York headquarters.
Johnson talks about the loss to Columbus Crew SC on opening day and returning to rival Red Bull Arena for the home leg in the quarterfinals of Concacaf Champions League. Parks addressed the reasons he decided to return to NYCFC on a permanent transfer from Benfica in Portugal, his desire to score more goals for the club and his battle for playing time in the talented midfield.
“It’s always great to have competition in your position – sometimes it means you don’t get your playing time,” Parks told Pro Soccer USA.
