On Monday, New York City FC hired their fourth head coach, Ronny Deila. The 44-year old Norwegian has been a first-team manager for 12 seasons in Europe, including the legendary Glasgow Celtic FC.
Kieran Devlin covers Celtic FC for The Athletic and he provided a detailed profile of the City head coach when he spoke with Pro Soccer USA’s Glenn Crooks for this episode of On Frame.
Although he won three trophies in two seasons in Glasgow, Deila was dismissed due to his lack of success in European competitions and a team that struggled to adjust to his methods.
