On January 16, Ismael Tajouri-Shradi signed a new multi-year contract to remain with New York City FC.
In two seasons, the 25-year old Libyan international has produced 19 goals with seven assists in 52 matches across all competitions.
Pro Soccer USA’s Glenn Crooks speaks at length with Tajouri-Shradi about his contract, his family, his club and the turmoil in his country. Tajouri-Shradi has four caps for Libya, a nation that has not played a home match since 2013 due to civil war.
“If we can play at home, it would change a lot of things,” Tajouri-Shradi said.
