For this episode of On Frame, Pro Soccer USA’s Glenn Crooks speaks with Karina LeBlanc, the head of women’s football for Concacaf.
LeBlanc, who grew up on the Caribbean island of Dominica, has accepted the challenge of developing the women’s game in some of the less-prosperous soccer nations in the region.
“The biggest thing was the World Cup with Jamaica becoming the first Caribbean team to qualify,” LeBlanc said of recent strides in the region. “Young girls can now see players who look like them, who talk like them, make it on the world stage.
