Olympia coach Travis Gabriel found a lot to like about his Titans as his starters dominated the first three quarters of a spring football jamboree against Evans on Wednesday night.
But Evans’ backups closed Kenard Lang’s first spring as the Trojans coach with a victory. Evans scored 21 points in the final 7 minutes and 28 seconds to grab a 35-31 victory.
Evans proved it may have the depth and resiliency to improve after a 2-5 season against a schedule shorted by COVID-19 last fall. The Trojans also have a quarterback competition. Christian Hall started, then played the entire fourth quarter, completing 5 of 13 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns.
