The Warriors (1-1) scored the go-ahead touchdown with 40 seconds to spare and escaped with a 14-7 win at The First Academy (2-1) in a game that was postponed Friday due to inclement weather.
OCP forced the Royals to turn the ball over on downs while trailing 7-6 with 4 minutes, 45 seconds left. It took 10 plays over 60 yards to secure the first win of the season.
“That last drive was just our will,” OCP coach Guershom Demosthenes said. “We had to show resiliency. They knew that either we score, or we’re 0-2, so they fought back against a good TFA football team and got it done.
