Just a couple weeks ago in a district final, Orlando Christian Prep cruised to a 24-point boys basketball win over state-ranked City of Life Christian.
OCP did itself one better on Tuesday night in the rematch of ‘Warrior’ nicknames by only allowing two points in the first quarter on its way to a 67-38 victory in the Class 2A Region 3 semifinal.
“We felt like we left some plays out there on the court two weeks ago,” he said. “We wanted them to play harder and smarter.”
And that they did, with the exception of a three-minute span in the second quarter in which OCP (24-0) committed four turnovers and allowed City of Life (25-4) to cut the lead to 16.
