Ocoee rebounded from trailing by one point at halftime, using a potent ground game to earn a 43-22 win over Evans Monday night.
The two teams agreed to play on Monday so that Evans can squeeze in two games this week following a two-week COVID-19 quarantine.
It was the Trojans' (0-1) emotional season opener, but the No. 10 Knights (2-1) ultimately built on a strong start this season by rushing for more than 300 yards.
Ocoee scored a touchdown in the third quarter and led 28-22 entering the final period. A pair of rushing touchdowns by Dylan Wade sealed the victory for the host Knights.
