Just like the UCF Knights did on Thursday, the Ocoee Knights overcame rain delays and a first half deficit on Friday night, beating the Wekiva Mustangs 14-13 at home to improve to 2-0.
A 60-yard drive in the last minutes of the game culminated in a Jacquez Cooks touchdown reception with 33 seconds remaining. The game-winning throw was Jalen Joiner’s first completion of the game after he did not play in the first half. After Cooks caught the go-ahead touchdown, he followed it up with a game-sealing interception on the final play.
