Orlando City B is back and playing USL soccer once again. The Young Lions kicked off their first season in USL League One last night at home out at Montverde Academy against FC Tucson and, while the result didn’t go their way, it was the start of a new era for OCB.
The USL side is truly a developmental side for Orlando City now, developing academy players and getting them ready for the first team. The 3-1 loss last night might sound bad to those who didn’t see the match, but the Young Lions showed a lot of promise early before a goal against the run of play and a red card turned the game on its head.
