The second leg Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 match between New York City FC and AD San Carlos will be played at Red Bull Arena, the Costa Rican club’s sporting director reportedly said.
In an interview with CRhoy.com, San Carlos sporting director Gustavo Perez said NYCFC struggled to find a venue to host and begrudgingly agreed to play at Red Bull Arena.
The match is Feb. 26 at 6 pm ET.
“They wanted to avoid playing there because of the rivalry they have with the Red Bulls, but in the end they had no choice,” Perez said.
